SubwayStatus

SubwayStatus Support

SubwayStatus shows live TTC subway and GO Transit alerts, arrivals and vehicle positions on one map, for iPhone and iPad.

Questions, bug reports, refund questions, or a wrong station on the map — email support.subwaystatus@gmail.com. It is one person answering, usually within a couple of days.

Frequently asked

Where does the data come from?

Live TTC open data and Metrolinx (GO Transit) open data, plus the public feeds for York Region Transit, Brampton Transit and Regina. SubwayStatus is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any transit agency.

Why is an arrival or alert wrong, late, or missing?

Every time and disruption you see comes from the agency’s own feed. When a feed is slow, stale or silent, SubwayStatus shows what it last received — it cannot know more than the agency publishes. Predictions can also shift as vehicles move. If something looks badly wrong for more than a few minutes, email us with the line, station and time and we will check whether it is the feed or us.

How do I restore my Pro purchase?

In the app: Settings → SubwayStatus Pro → Restore. Pro is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple Account, so it restores on any device signed in to the same account. If Restore doesn’t find it, make sure you are signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with, then email us.

Notifications aren’t arriving.

Check iOS Settings → Notifications → SubwayStatus is allowed, then in the app check Settings → Notifications for which lines you follow. Alerts fire when an agency publishes a change, so a quiet network genuinely means no notifications.

How do I report a wrong map or a wrong alert?

Email us with a screenshot if you can, plus the line or route, the station or stop name, and roughly when you saw it. Map geometry and station labels are hand-maintained, so a specific “this label sits on the wrong side” report is genuinely useful.

Does the app track me?

No. There are no ads, no analytics SDK and no tracking, and your location never leaves your device. (An ad SDK is bundled for a possible future version, but this one never starts it or asks it for an ad.) Your device does register an Apple push token with our server so alerts can reach you promptly; it is not tied to you or to anything you look at. The details are in the privacy policy.
